    This statue has sat on my moms dining room table all my life. I know my grand parents got it in the early 1970's in their travels, through India and China. I have no idea who she is or where exactly she's from. Any ideas?

      This is Quan Yin, the Chinese goddess of mercy. There are several spellings and she is Kannon in Japan. She is one of the most popular figures in the Asian pantheon.
