Enamel on copper is one of my most loved art forms. As with most of my finds, I got this at an estate sale a couple of years ago. And, what a find it was. Maggie Howe! (And, just to emphasize how great the find was, it cost less than $10!) Maggie Howe went to Mexico City in the 1950s and formed an artist's collective and gallery in Mexico City. It is said that Maggie Howe introduced Miguel Pineda to enameling. This piece is about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide and is in excellent condition. I love this piece for its beautiful design and vibrant color. It makes me happy every time I look at it and pick it up.
Thanks for the love blunderbuss2, racer4four, aura, and Narussian!
