Set of 6 dining chairs from a Connecticut house built in 1756. Can anyone identify style and/or period? I'd love to know what I have.

Hi there.....Someone will come along as not everyone is on the board at the same time ( different Time Zones / Countries ) Plus some know more than others.

All I can say is that you have a GREAT SET there......Love them!

Can you post a pic of any joints, or marks on the bottom??

~~ You can start a NEW part II of this post so you can post 4 more pics for us to see.

      Thanks

Are they just those two styles? Post one posting of the one style w/four pics. And a second posting with four pics of the other.

I wasn't sure how to start a part II. The pictures of joints and markings you asked for have been posted under dining room chairs. Thanks.

By the way, the chairs are all solid wood and I am sure handmade. I'd even like to know what kind of wood. Please see pictures to help identify.
