I am so bad when it comes to amethysts. I love the colour purple! Too bad that this bracelet is missing one stone! I will see if it can be replaced but honestly, I have no hope to get it fixed at a reasonable price, if this is possible at all.
So I came to the idea to turn it into a necklace. I will take the part with the missing stone and the matching part on the other side out and use an old sterling necklace to finish the job. Any other suggestions?
Thanks for looking:)
Kyratango can give you ideas!
It is so pretty!
I'm afraid it won't stand right on neck if turned into a necklace, the connecting rings are soldered in position for beeing in line, not curved (not sure if my explanation is clear).
I'd try to search for a convenient stone, there are some cheaper lots than this one:

Then ask a jeweller to set it :-)
I am a sucker for amethysts too Freiheit. Hope you can wear it soon!
I see a ring and a pair of earrings made out of this.....oooh la la would be so pretty!
Celiene, you were correct: Kyratango did come up with ideas!
Kyratango, I understand what you mean. I was thinking in terms of a choker necklace and thought it might work. Good thing you pointed out possible problems before I start taking it apart. I like melaniej's idea about the earrings. That should be an easy job. I could also put the center part on a black velvet ribbon?
Racer4four, I am glad I am not the only one:)
A Choker would be a nice adaptation, your idea of the central part on a velvet ribbon too!
Melanie has it all right too, what a beautiful ring it could be :-D
Thanks so much for your comment/help, kyratango. I will take my time and come up with the best way of using what I have:)
What about removing the damaged link and have a shorter bracelet. The asymmetry won't be noticeable when it's wrapped around the wrist and if it's too short, that extender chain can be made longer.
Thanks, Mary. I will wait until I have the time and the perfect idea about what to do with it. Davyd286, I think your idea is a good one, too. The bracelet would be a bit short for me (without adding more of the chain) but perfect for one of my daughters:)
