Hello everyone.
Some of my gold brooches to show you.
All are hallmarked 9ct Australian gold .....except for the springbok which is marked 9ct as well, but I am not sure if Sth Africa used this mark as well, Someone might be able to help here??
The Australian flag brooch and the springbok brooch both have the southern cross on them as well.
The wishbones have the Map of Tasmania with 2 pearls on one, and a cute little chick with a pearl on the other.
And of course the kookaburra on the round brooch.
I believe the red and blue stones are paste.
Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

It's interesting that the springbok brooch has the Southern Cross also; I wonder what the association is?

I wondered that myself about the springbok......vaguely remember reading somewhere that the Southern Cross could be seen there at certain times but of course I can't find that now!! Hopefully someone will know for us!
On the look out now for a New Zealand one!!
Oh and the springbok one I bought from England!!!! Only thing I have ever bought from overseas......
