I understand the no appraisal rule but I don't have a large collection and know very little about bottles but have been learning about glass making and enjoy the subject in general. While working in the garden I come across this bottle under the footings of an old wall. I'm sure it is around 1850s but really not to sure. There is no mould line and it seems to have been wax sealed (not that that means a lot) the bottom is very deep and the Pontil is completely smooth. The bottle it self is slightly Wonkey and dark green in colour. Very very heavy given how small it is. Also seems to be slightly pitted (shown in picture) around the middle where it tapers in.
Really interested to know more - happy to continue my own research if good sites can be recommended.

There is no pontil. It is a typical wine-bottle kick-up. Still made like this today in many cases. The lip is also just tooled, not an applied band. I'd put it after 1900 and would say it's likely European. My comments in the next two links should more or less apply to this one as well:
