Beautiful print! The artist is Don Swann (1899-1954) "Putting out the Decoys"

The original series was a limited release of 300 prints with slightly different signature. His son, Don Swann Jr, has later signed and released reprints to ensure the etchings have been printed from the original plates made by his father, but it could also be a later series signed by Don Swann Sr.

Thank you so much OlofZ for taking the time to post your reply. As I am always eager to learn may I ask how you were able to identify it?

Just fun with some detective work! It looked like a well schooled artist and I did read D** Swa*n, so it should come up in a search. Unless it was a high quality amateur. http://www.artistssignatures.com is a great site for browsing possible names for well known artists. This time as well as it turned out... Congrats on a nice pick up!

Thanks so much for that link... and the info on the print runs. All very interesting. I certainly do appreciate your detective work. Much obliged.
