Here's an old cast iron "Indianapolis Stove Co" cast iron tea or coffee pot.
It has plenty of surface rust and the spout has a chip on it. I had to enhance the photo in order to decipher what's printed on the lid. Overall it's in pretty good condition. Nte how the base is indented to fit in a stove top or platform.
I have the same large Indianapolis Stove Co. #8 cast iron kettle that is shown on your site. However, mine is prestine! Has been in the family forever. Any idea of value? Also have same vintage 4lb. iron and a cast iron piece that I think the iron sets on.
I also have one , and was told that the extended base was for RailRoad use ...to keep the kettle on the stove???
I found one at a flee market. Very similar except it is marked "Kentucky Stove Co. Louisville #8. No idea of its current value.
