I haven't seen any carnival glass like this around here in donkey's years, so I quickly grabbed this one. Great to see the label still there, too.

    http://www.carnivalglassworldwide.com/other-european.html

"LGW was located in Bavaria, Germany. The date of their production seems to have been fairly recent—into the 1980s—and was carried out by vacuum iridising glass blanks brought in from other makers (for example, Cristal d’Arc or Annahutte).

The words Pfauenauge and Kaleidoskop on their labels refer to the iridescence—meaning shimmering, ever-changing and peacock-like. The very vivid iridescence and the often smoky base glass (or silvery metallic appearance) are characteristics that will aid identification."

    Thanks for looking/loving, CW friends!

Wow.....I wish we had a place on CW to keep a" list of Labels" and definition with pics -- Kinda like a Sticky page with all our finds and for another to use when searching here.

The only thing we can do is add stuff to our Collection - then we have to surf through photos to find what we want to see again. Hmmmph....

Bonnie, love this glass. I just bought and returned a piece much like this at GW. It was a vtg. Imperial carnival glass bowl on a pedestal in smoke/peacock colors. Too big for my space and it was 20.00 (way too much for me) but I am looking at a smaller vase like it. It is really beautiful. Great find!!
