I picked this up at a Estate sale couple of years back and would like to know more about it. It appears to have some age. It has some crazing and a small band around the bowl and lid which I think is brass. It's about 6" Dia and stands about 4 1/4" tall with the lid. I have no idea what the mark on the bottom is or the writing on the sides and lid say. Thanks Mike
The mark, rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise is that of Shunzhi (1644 to 1661), the first reign in the Qing dynasty and a transitional reign from the Ming. The mark is rarely seen on modern (reproduction) porcelain, however I believe this is the case for your beautiful bowl. An opinion from a reputable auction house or a museum with an Asian collection might be worth the effort. The references below may also be of interest:

Hi,
The bowl of the same period - reproduction

And the same lidded bowl here.
Intact set of 400 years old Chinese porcelain simply do not fly around, especially not on eBay; must be a reproduction. It`s nice, though, enjoy it.
