    Good Evening CW Members----1:30 AM)2016-6-4
I found this Red Clay Vase today at the salvation Army, this is very unusual, but inside the vase I found the COA(Certificate Of Authenticity) we can read:
"Red Earth Pottery, Certificate of Authenticity Guaranteed Native American Made, Artist ____________Mesa Verde Pottery, Cortez Co, 1-800-441-9908 mesaverdepottery.com"
The Artist name is hard to read, if you can read or see this signature before, I will be more than happy to hear from you, this beautiful vase have a lot going on, typical Colorado scene, painted and Etched on Red Clay.

This vase stand 8.74 inch tall, 7.25 inch at the widest portion, 4 inch rim, on a 4.25 inch base.

    Thanks for Viewing.
    Alan

    ----------------------------------------History----------------------------------------

Ute Mountain Pottery formed in 1971, and was owned by the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. Mesa Verde Pottery was formed a short time later in 1979, owned Scott & Jay Tipton. Mesa Verde Pottery was originally located in Cortez, CO and UMU Pottery is located on the reservation in Towaoc, CO. In November 2014, the Ute Tribe purchased Ute Mountain Indian Trading and the company was formed in March 2015. We held the Grand Opening of Ute Mountain Indian Trading Company on May 2nd, 2015. We are proud to be the Tribe’s first business located off reservation.

We are proud of our Native American heritage and get fulfillment knowing our business supports the tribe and they support us. Working together, we continue to offer local residents and tourists alike beautiful, hand-made, original works of art, both items to wear and for their home. Our store is especially beautiful at Christmas time, with several trees and strings of lights adorning the store front. We continue to abide by the traditions we’ve always had and continually grow as a business from year to year.

Cortez, Colorado is approximately 1 hour by car from Durango, Colorado, where we lived for 2 years, from 2011 through 2013. GREAT VASE, Alan! [;>)

Yes, and made by Native Americans, it's a pot made for the tourist trade, I believe. It's beautiful, love that orange clay color! :)
