This is one of my unknowns, though I do think it is Czech. Being very glossy it's easy to see the rub wear to the base which probably confirms age. Cut rim.

It seems to have five layers.....clear, white, a small scale yellow spatter, a large scale multi-coloured spatter and finally a clear outer casing. You can best see the yellow spatter by enlarging image three.

If anyone has another example of this décor it would be interesting to see it.

How much laborious must have been making such multi layer glass.I haven't seen making this type of glass so I'm guessing :Each layer was put successively by the following worker ?

Oh dear, Ivonne, I must admit, to my shame, that asking me technical questions will always be a waste of time. Sorry!

The layers of glass in such a case are applied by a single "gaffer" who generally works with a partner or team depending on the technical level being executed.

The process of casing multiple layers involves the example being worked to be reintroduced to the oven several times during it's production. Other steps in production require an additional person.

For example, after the basic décor and shape are completed, and the items is to be cut from the blowpipe, that is an operation requiring two people. In the event that the example needs to be cut from a blowing pipe and attached to a punty rod, that is also an action requiring two people.
