    katherines…
    (247 items)

So these four postcards came in a huge baggie full of old postcards. I was able to ID most of others, but of these only the color postcard "Keep Em Flying" in the last batch photo was online.
Pic #1 Consolidated PB2Y - 2 [front] Manufactured by Longshaw Card Co., Los Angeles, Calif [reverse] and one cent stamp box.
Pic #2 Vultee Vanguard P-48. Interceptor Pursuit Plane. One of the world's best in speed., fighting and maneuverability. VULTEE AIRCRAFT Inc. Vultee Field,Cal. [front, errors in spelling as printed] Post Card [reverse] Above stamp box are initials that look like BKC
Pic #3 Vultee "Vengeance" A two place very fast and powerful dive bomber with great striking power. VULTEE AIRCRAFT, Inc. Vultee Field, Cal. [front] Post Card [reverse] Above stamp box are initials that look like BKC.
Pic #4 The other three postcards and the "Keep Em Flying" postcard. 953 Consolidated PB2Y - 2 Navy Patrol Bomber [front] Manufactured by Langshaw Card Co. Los Angeles, Calif. [reverse] It has three other diagrams of the plane the words Post Card and One Cent stamp box. Obvious the plane in the first postcard and this postcard are the same model, by the pics and the model number.

Any information on the middle two photographs appreciated as those are the two I am most curious about as they seem to be done perhaps by the aircraft manufacturer, Vultee. There is a signature in the corners of the post cards, for whatever help that may be. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the love, brunswick, vetraio50, Caperkid, blunderbuss2, nutsabotas6, and NevadaBlades. :)

Thomas, now that you mention it, going off on a tangent, I would imagine these planes were developed around the time of the Superman TV series -- "Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird -- it's a plane -- no, it's Superman!" :))

Huh. I thought sure there would be a few guys that knew about this military aviation stuff. Okay, barking up the wrong tree again.

Hi Katherine, my old boss was really into old planes and had several. The last one he bought was a T-6. LOL everyone IDK but they look similar to me. I was offered a ride but declined that and the bi-plane. I declined the bi-plane saying I need a roof. He said this one has a roof. I said not a glass one. Sorry. ;)
I agree some of the military folks should know more about it. They are cool!!
