I found this in a Salvation Army thrift store 12 years ago. It is 3 1/2" high X 3 1/4" diam. I didn't have the picture, but it has a K/B import sticker on one side. (edit.... After looking at the photos again, you can see the backside of the K/B sticker.) It is obviously Murano. I like it, because I have never seen another like it. Although not the most maticulous form, it is a great representation of earlier Murano blown glass. You can tell by the unintended bubbles and small pieces of ash in the glass. A lot of older, mid-century Murano, that wasn't done by a Master Glass Blower, will have these small imperfections. It was normal to the process then, and not really considered a flaw. I don't believe any real "flaws" ever hit the stores in Murano.
Great piece!! The K/B import label was associated with FRATELLI TOSO. So I would think this is their piece. Great PW with lots af aventurine in it !!! Yes, I have piece with ash in it, tool marker marks etc.....that is a sign of it being made. They are NOT flaws as you say also !!
I have an AVEM Paperweight with lots of Aventurine too, as I LOVE sparkle:

Yes F/T made great glass. I like the older Murano PWs with the high domed tops. They really magnify the interior.
Happy daisy!
