I spotted this dresser in my brother's garage. He said he found it at a thrift store and it had an old envelope in the drawer from 1909. We have no clue how old this dresser is, but we'd love to know!

Nice! Those white knobs really look out of place-- probably had dark wood originally.
Probably from the first quarter, 20th century.
Some additional photos of the back, joints and any marks/ labels may be helpful.

If you can take a picture of the side of the drawers.. the dove tail can help identify age and makers.. are those knobs porcelain? Beautiful! And did your brother give it to you?
From what I've read was from 1898 until 1930s they were in business. Made lots of steamer trunks. But i couldn't find allot. Maybe google the name on the tag. .
Art deco waterfall dresser - or does the flat top eliminate it from that description. Yup, the pulls are wrong, but a search for deco dresser pulls, image search for waterfall deco dresser will show you what they should look like.
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I googled Hartman furniture, and got results - but maybe my search words were too specific. Will search some more.
Got fed up seeing glorious deco furniture being refinished - arrrrgggghhhh
It isn't art deco, nor would I call it a "waterfall" dresser.

Before art deco definitely.. and possible veneer.. Scott prolly has the date about right here. Also agree the knobs are a bit much. . Beautiful piece! Wish i could find such a find at the thrift store!
