    Any info on this?
    It's an estate find.
I was going to put it on my barn's exterior.
I know it is in rough shape.

Value? Year (i think 30-40), any cleaning suggesting?
Should I not keep it outside?
    Thanks,

      Thanks Trey.
Should i use bar keep friend or mild detergent and water, or nothing to clean the grime?
      Awesome!

I wouldn't try it because it's tin and it could damage it.

Yes, it is very likely from the 1930's and certainly very cool too!
How to clean it? CAREFULLY! Pretty much whatever you do to clean it while removing oxidation, dirt, and rust, that will also remove pigment. You MIGHT try VERY gentle cleaning with some mild detergent and water with a microfiber towel. Blot, not rub on the surface if you do. Some people have tried other methods but whatever you do will remove some color too.
Much better off to leave it as is!

So......what did you do my friend?
    8. alecloranca, 8 years ago
      Davesierra:
I lightly cleaned w soap and water.
Used bar keep friend on tiny portion on right side to make the left and right more balanced with white. As you said, it DID remove some color, but it cleaned up really nice. Can really see the green on the outside border and looks great. For some reason I can't edit pictures to update here

You will have to make s separate post. Can't wait to see it all cleaned up:) Once you post something you can't add pics but you can take away pics for some reason.
