Wife and I found this yesterday at the Tri-State Antique Market in Lawrenceburg, IN. GREAT place to shop! We fell in love with this piece as soon as we saw it and had to bring it home with us. We think it might have been used by an auto dealer since "X" marks the spot of Detroit and it's easy to tell it was originally part of a bigger piece. If anyone has any ideas as to the original purpose of this piece I would love to hear from you.

The perimeters are funky, but I would say the "artist" didn't know where Detroit is .

blunderbuss2, THX for the love. Funky for sure but I wouldn't be using it to find my way to Detroit anyway. I'm OK with a little bit of "artistic licence." Haha!

Yeah Akro. Had 6 Mini Mokes & a Mini Van (pickup). That's Shake & Bake on Orient Bay. (Fr. side). My namesake !

Blunderbuss2, Never heard of them until I met a customer and now a friend in Marathon, FL. What a killer little small community/beach vehicle! How my buddy fits in it I have no clue and would pay admission to see him get into and out of it!! He's a very large dude! Think that is part of the allure for him as he is just a little twisted. SUPER cool nonetheless!!!

Fun little jeeps but the box frame rusts out fast around salt & just can't seem to be stoppable. English engines, as usual, are not made for the tropics with small cooling ports, radiator etc.. Fun while they last.
