Schoolfield's Tobacco/Chew - Marrow Bone - Wooden Box

I am new to this site but came across it when I was trying to find out more information about a couple of old wood tobacco boxes I have.

I know nothing about these boxes. Not event what a box like this would be used for. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
