Hello everyone.
Bought these on the weekend.....just could not resist the colour of them!
There are no maker's marks on either of them that I can see, both gold tone metal.
The main stone in the first one is open backed, the rest are enclosed. It measures about 2 1/4 inches long x 1 inch wide. The colour ranges from deep purple to light mauve. It has a safety chain attached as well....
The second brooch is quite a busy looking one!! The main stone is open backed while the rest of the stones have that goldy looking paint? on the back of them. Same colour range as the first one....measures 2 inches long x 1 inch wide. The only one I have found remotely similar to this one was marked Austria......

That "goldy looking paint" is known as gold foil, and is very often found on the smaller stones in older pieces of jewelry. The main stone would not have been foil backed. Both are very, very pretty!
