This is a silver with gold vermeil wash, Austro - Hungarian bracelet set with garnets. The front is covered in elaborate rocco detail with a raised central boss which displays a high rose cut garnet. The detail of the back is also amazing, and you can see the handmade details.
I think the bracelet dates from the late 19th century. The garnets are bright and sparkle, which was achieved by a special technique using small strips of copper these being glued to the setting with the garnets set above. The bracelet is stamped on the tongue of the box clasp with the Austrian dogs head mark for 1872-1922, and with P for Budapest and a makers Mark which looks like G? K. It is 7 inches long and 5/8 of a inch at its widest point.
I've looked for the makers mark, G?K but haven't come up with anything. If anybody has any ideas, it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks for looking

Hi Karen, it's a cross between eBay and I have a lovely man who sells wondering jewellery, he knows I'm passionate about Bernard Instone, if there are any pieces that comes up of Mr Instones he usually gives me first refusal. This bracelet is a wonderful piece, I do love Austro-Hungarian jewellery, and have some pieces I have to careful that I don't start going into different fields, lol. I hope your well Karen.
