I'm hoping someone can help me with this! This is a Rek-O-Kut 16" transcription turntable, Model G2, Series 5. It is in a case and there are two outlets on the top (one for power, one for audio, I presume). It also has a tonearm that reads "Clarkstan". And that is pretty much all I know. I can't find any information about this particular model. I also have no idea if it works. Does anyone out there know anything about this item?

Cool! A valuable turntable in its days. This discussion might be useful:

Thank you so much for the input! I have yet to find one with this particular case (can't believe it was obviously meant to be portable--the thing weighs a ton!), but I'm excited to have something with a little bit of history. Thank you for the advice :)!

Also--question for all of you. I have not plugged it in. I am too afraid. But if it didn't work--let's say--should I restore it, or leave it as is? I believe it has value, not that I want to sell it yet, but I don't want to mess with it if it I shouldn't. Please let me know what you think!

Haha! Okay, I'll be brave!! Scared it will short out and burn up along with me--but lemme get that fire extinguisher :)! Thank you!
