I will start with an apology for ALL my photos on CollectorsWeekly, I am useless. :-(

Here is an old mid-20thC. Pradel pocket knife, cellulose scales made to look like staghorn/worked bone with 5 tools/blades.
I have heard these lower quality Pradel knives are possibly fakes, but I'm not convinced myself. The quality is not of the best, but it is still not too bad considering some I have seen, and it is possible that quality suffered in the early post-WW2 years.
Regardless, I like it and it's a keeper, even though someone had a go at polishing the carbon blade with a rough file and angle grinder by the look of it! ;-)

    Cheers, Bob.

Aw, it's a shame about the blades! Can't tell you how many knives I've tried rescuing over the years with mis-sharpened blades........ [;>)

      Too right my friend!
I might try some polishing with different grades of Micro-Mesh sheets. These are a great, longer lasting alternative to wet and dry paper, fabric backed and washable and lasts for ages.
