This ring was my Grandmothers. I don't think the large pearl in the middle is original to the ring and it is missing one pearl on the side and one on the top part of ring. I heard tales of her wearing this ring for many, many years from my Uncle, but I never saw it before she passed away. I'm not sure what kind of metal it is, I don't think it is gold. More like a copper color. Does anyone know the history on this type of jewelry or what kind of stone it would have had in the middle? Don't know how old it is either. My Grandmother came to this country from Portugal in the 1920's I believe. So maybe it's that old? HELP!!??
I suggest taking it to your local jeweler and having it tested for gold content. The jeweler can tell you if the center pearl is original to the setting.
Hi I think your ring is Victorian, it's a very pretty ring?
It could be a rose coloured gold.
Thank you I think it is Victorian also.
Old gold can be a different color than new gold. If there are no marks, best to take it to be tested. The difference in colors of the pearls could mean nothing as well, or the main pearl may have been replace at some point. But if you are getting the gold tested may as well have the stones tested too. :)
This is a really beautiful ring!!!! It does look like rose gold...... love the setting!
Thanks everyone, guess I will have to take it to a jeweler.
I see two stamps on it but cannot tell what the symbols are.
One stamp looks like a diner table?
