Bought in Qingdao in 1975.
The only mark i find is "18K" i guess it mean 18 karat?
It is made between 1950 - 1975.
I want to find out the year it is made, around.
What design it is, designers name.
Does anyone else have a similar ?
Have anyone seen this before???
Please contact me if you have information .
Best regards
Annja Larsen
Are there any maker's marks on it? What does the underside look like? What kind of clasp does it have? Need more than just one photo, please, taken in natural light with no flash. A flash changes the color and appearance of a piece of jewelry.
Thanks, that was fast!
Lol
You domt know how many hours i have spent at google , to find som more info about it :-P
Yes, 18K means 18 karat. It's a gorgeous filigree design. The best quality jade is known as Imperial Jade, or Jadeite. I don't know if that is the type of jade which is in your bracelet because photos don't often show the item correctly. A gemologist would be able to tell you.
Someone else with more knowledge than I can tell you more.
hahaha I can relate to hours of searching on Google!
Do you know anyone here that could take a look?
I would love to own this bracelet it is probably old and probably jade but as with all Asian items you can only really tell if you are holding the item in your hand (due to the amount of fakes they have), not saying yours is cause it looks stunning from the pictures it's just the way it is in China. 18k is definately 750/1000 gold though and in gold weight alone the bracelet is expensive. But take it too a reputable jeweller to get it looked at as if everything is right with the bracelet it will be a very expensive thing as Chinese items always are. I love it and if ever you did not want it anymore I would love to own it, my kind of thing.
thank you.
It was by mother in law that bought it in Qingtao.
I was told it came from the qing dynastiet, and was from the 1700th.
But what does i know :-P
the story behind is worth the same for us as the jewellery it self ..
It was fare in early 1980 , so we know it is 18k :-)
I was hoping someone could say something more about it.
Looks modern to me. I don't think there were double safety locks and safety chains on 17th century jewelry.
I agree with lee - take it to a reputable jeweler for an appraisal ( gonna cost some money for that).
point taken :-O hehe
If you live near a large auction house, they usually have free appraisal days (voice appraisal).
