Back to the book it is titled Buddy and the Floating Island with a subtitle of Or A Boy's Wonderful Secret. The copyright date is 1933 so somewhere after 1933.
The book is said to be illustrated but there are no illustrations or illustrator credited. There are some nice graphics. Not likely I will but I will set around and look nice. read it
