Leo Matus had operated a store in Wilkes-Barré, PA for over 50 years. Leo had become ill and passed away a number of years ago. Subsequent ownerships could not emulate the success of Leo himself, and now the store is closed, in need of a new owner.
Leo's was a fixture on The Square in WB, and I am sure that those who were familiar with the establishment could relate volumes on the happenings at Leo's!
The Camel decal on the store's floor is a reminder of the store's former life as a newsstand-tobacco shop.
Thank you, Thomas…..I used to work there in the 70s!
