I have a collection of old Eastern Airlines items. They are from a pilot. I am trying to learn more about the items. I have close to 100 items - too many to post. I am hoping the ones I posted might tell me a bit about the pilot and his role in the airline. I would also like to know the age of the items. Thank in advance for your help.
Hi , What was the pilots name ,and when did he fly for eastern ? Do you have any facts about him ? Jack
Hi, Yes. He was an Eastern pilot. He was in WW2 and I believe was also a police officer for a while. His name was B. R . Reeves from Atlanta. Did you work for Eastern?
I have a bunch of his WW2 stuff, medals, ribbons and pins as well as the Eastern stuff. The Eastern items I am mostly looking for info on. Can you help?
I may be able to help you somewhat , as I have done some minor research on Eastern as my uncle was a veteran pilot for them . I am sure they knew each other although my uncle John J Masaitis has passed on . If you Google Mr Reeves name you should come across a roster of all pilots that retired from Eastern and there may be archives to search . Let me know if this is helpful, Jack
Thanks Kack. I"ll do it and let you know. Hope you survived the storms if you are in the southeast. We got it pretty good here in Atlanta last night.
You're welcome , I'm in Seattle and we are expecting snow in some areas with temps 10 or more degrees lower than normal . Global warming ? My heart go's out to the to the folks suffering these storms and losing lives and homes . Really terrible situation . Jack
My dad was a capt. at Eastern. If you are interested in selling any of the Eastern things please let me know at spoilt @ aol . com.
