Hello everyone.
Thought you might like to see this lovely Australian made costume jewellery set made by Jewelcrest, and designed by Donald Simpson who also designed for his own brand "Original by Simpson".
I believe it dates from the 1950s......
The brooch is marked Jewelcrest with a closed padlock symbol....I had found lots of info on Simpson & Jewelcrest years ago as I had marked on my original pictures from 4 years ago that it was pre 1955!! but I can't find this info now of course......
It is the only piece of Jewelcrest that I have and it is beautiful.....I love it, and the original box is great too. Only cost $5.00

Beautiful as appears to be most Simpson.
I only recently discovered his work when I found a brooch by him at a good price....I have to admit I was totally ignorant at that stage.
Can you have a look at my brooch here please Judy?
It is not marked as silver but it seems that much of his work with rivoli stones was gold plated silver. What do you think?
