    katherines…
    (247 items)

So there was a little shaker in SoCal a minute or two ago. Mario did a little dance on the lappy but he's alright now. The other photos are of the bay in my hometown of San Diego. Rock and roll!

Update: Appears it was a 5.2 near Borrego Springs.

Saw that on the news this morning Katherine. We even get 3-5's here in Ohio occasionally . I'm sure it's nothing for most who live in Cally. :)

I felt it too up here in the mountains. Seemed to go on for a bit.

Thanks for the love, NevadaBlades, Alan2310, kyratango, brunswick, nutsabotas6, mikelv85, kivatinitz, and fortapache. :)

Judy, I live in the Ring of Fire, so yes, happens often enough. We are waiting for the big one that will snap Cali off the Left Coast and turn us into either an island or the new Atlantis, lol. :)

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts, kyratango, yes, Mario is all in one piece, and so is my lappy. We are open for business! :)

Thanks, Thomas, yes earthquakes are pretty awesome, except when they're scary. This one was just a quick jolt and bounce. :)

Thanks, Alan, yes we are very safe and song. :)

Mike, yeah, up to 6, we don't get excited, shake and bake comes with the territory. Sorry for the bad puns, everybody, lol. :)

FA, depends on where you are, this one traveled more inland, maybe up off the San Andreas, I haven't seen the information yet, peeps in Palm Springs really felt it so I hear. In lower SoCal, it was basically the house bouncing around for about fifteen seconds, then everything settled down.

OMG!! One of my biggest fears. You can prepare for almost anything but an earthquake. Yikes! So glad you are ok. :)

Thanks for the love, vetraio50, and OneGoodFind. :)

Judy, thank you, nothing to worry about this time. :)

OGF, it is the greatest fear of anyone who lives in the Ring of Fire, sort of the trade off of living in paradise, well that, and the high costs. For such fragile soil, it sure is expensive, lol. The only way to prepare for an earthquake is to move, and not many are willing to do that. The second way to prepare is to not think about it too much since they are inevitable and no one knows when they'll strike. Fortunately when they hit they don't last long, so think of it as a roller coaster ride, terrifying but over within a minute to five depending on the severity. In SoCal, being so far off the San Andreas fault, the worst we get are in the 7 range, generally buildings fall down in the 8 and above range. Also earthquakes are fairly rare here, not like Japan. Thanks for your kind thoughts. :)

I've never been west of New Orleans but I agree with your comment. Enjoy the beauty and don't overthink it. Not sure here where I want to land. Still living here because it's easier for my daughter but one of these days..... ;)
On my bucket list to at least visit. Looks so beautiful.
