I got this from a flea market a number of years ago. Not long ago, I found another exactly like it on the local internet site where I do my selling. Apparently, it was gold plated once upon a time. Six prongs needed to secure a tiny crystal or zircon. The silversmith's initials are all but worn away.
It's one of my favorite rings.

I have two jeweler's loups of different strengths. The one used to take these photos has the stronger magnification.
