I found this little chap under the floorboards of a old house we were ripping out.
Can't tell you much more than that really. Other than his clothes seem to be made of a very delicate felt and the skin of his hands looks like old leather.. His head is only just still attached and I can see some sort of wire frame inside holding him together.
Any opinions on age would be much appreciated.

That's an interesting find. One of our doll experts, Manikin, should be able to help you with this so I hope she sees it.
A toy auction centre told me it's possibly a chad valley stocking faced doll or a Norah Wellings? I'm not sure about this having looked at various CV & NW dolls online..
If it's not a Mattel Barbie, a Pedigree Sindy or an Estrela Susi doll then I can't tell you much of anything about it, LOL!
Do you know the age of the house? Wonder who lost their toy and how long ago..
I can not tell what face is made of but it is not a Chad Valley or Norah Wellings doll. He was well made and painting is wonderful . How tall is he ? As for age hard to tell because he was under floor doesn't really help date him . To me he looks 1920s-1940's. Was made for display . Hard to say exact maker

I'm slightly concerned that is head is about to fall off so I'm trying to move him as little as possible. He seems quite happy on the bookcase.
