Vietnamese Paintings Brought Home By A Relative Soldier during the Vietnam War in the 1960s. These are painted really well but I do not know much more about them.

A company called Suh Kwang Products Limited in Korea and Vietnam produced velvet paintings during the Vietnam War

Tourist-market black velvet painting proliferated in Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. “Wherever the U.S. military went, velvet painting seems to have followed.”
