I found this ornate Victorian Cut glass centre piece compote with brass base last Friday at the Salvation Army, this being a while since my last cut glass crystal, not so many lately, this is really a high quality crystal piece, when you hit the rim with your nail you ear an high pitch noise run for at least 8 to 10 sec, very heavy piece, the base is very ornate Victorian style, the only mark was a manufactured number underneath "5271"
This Compote stand 8.25 inch tall, 10.50 inch at the widest portion, 6.25 inch by 6.25 inch brass base.

I think they are both from the same time period. Mine has a sticker inside saying "Germany."
