Any information you could provide would be appreciated. All I know is that it was made by Railway Telephone Mfg. Co. I don't know where or when or how it was used.

This is a “Dispatchers” phone. Often used inside Railroad signal towers for the tower operator to communicate with train crews via small wooden phone boxes located at the beginning of each signal block along the line.

The arm extends out about 24 inches and also turns 90 degree's.

The aluminum tag on this phone reads "Railway Electric Mfg. Co. Chicago”

There is also a little black push button to the left of the brass tag. The ear receiver it reads "Western Electric".

Thanks to those who provided information. Information I couldn't find elsewhere !
