Found this old lock with my metal detector by a old house foundation in the woods in Dartmouth Nova Scotia Canada, I think it's made of brass it's 1 and half inch wide and 2 and half inch long the latch is about 2 and half inch long and made of the same metal. was just wondering if anyone knows how old it may be I'm sure I'm missing pieces and not sure if the latch even goes with it, any info would be greatly appreciated thanks!

This look like a lock coming from an old trunk, the first picture gave some clue, if you keep looking at the same area you should find the piece from the lid, this piece should fit perfectly with the lock in the first picture.

      Regards
      Alan
