This pretty lidded bowl, referred to by the French as a bonboniere is a recent acquisition. Mostly turquoise with red, orange and yellow/green spatter. The 'knob' does not appear to be well executed and feels as though it may be painted, but it does not detract very much from this bright and colourful piece - any suggestions on manufacturer?
A reasonable size : 5" (13cm) in diameter
It's truly a beauty, Phil. As to the knob possibly being painted, in my experience they often are.
Ah, OK, I wasn't aware of that, thanks Peggy.
the knobs on these bowl lids tarely are executed well. Kind of like an after thought I feel. Mine are exactly the same.
Beautiful piece though. I'm green with envy!!
Thanks Anne - by the way did you get the link I sent you (by email) of that Loetz tango piece on Ebay?
wonderful set of colors
What a wonderful find, congrats Phil.
Regards
Alan
Thanks Alan, it was a good find, but not nearly as good as this one:

thank you for thinking of me
I have some great friends hat I've met here. Alfredo just did something lovely for me..I am very lucky to have known you all.... :)
Damn - I missed the 'e' out of anne!! OK - I know you want one of those 3 handled tango vases - so next time I come across one that's not listed as Loetz, I'll let you know. They're tough to get at a reasonable price.
oh wait up, was that the pink vase? Was that you? I thought I had replied as I usually do.I thought you were just some friendly ebay person I had dealt with in the past who knew I liked Tango...
Thanks heaps. Unfortunately I missed it as I like to bid live as it helps me decide what to bid...what a pretty one it was too.:)
No that wasn't me Anne. See your comments at the end of this post of mine:

You mentioned picking something up - as you are on the other side of the planet, I got a bit confused - you did say you were quite tired!
Anyway, no worries...
ok
1) Yes had chemo that day so was all over the shoy
2) Yes I'm in Melbourne Australia
3) I read your post and now get it I had wanted to see if you knew of anyone who had one in good condition. These vases and the bowls with knob type handles come in different condition. It annoys me but they still look nice displayed...
4) So youre not the Phil who collects brooches for your sister....lol
pls forgive me, my brain is mulch at times ...lol
cheers Anne
As I said Anne - it was not a problem...and no I don't collect brooches - funny!
