This was found in a box full of old planes, hand drills, and "stuff" recently hauled out of Grandpa's barn/work shop. I have no idea what it is. All metal, no identifying marks anywhere. 11" long. Basket is 3 1/2" across.
looks like a tea infuser spoon
It looks like a soap holder. Before chore-specific cleaners were developed everyday soap was used for all cleaning chores. A piece of soap was put in the basket and swished around in a tub of hot water to make soapy water for washing stuff.
oh I thought it was for grabbing meatballs ...lol holes look to big for tea ...So It looks like UncleRon has it.... smiling ...nice find
Maybe for use in vasectomies.
Agree with soap holder! Had 2 of these......ended up selling one to the museum here so they could show and explain it to children's school groups!
bb2 - you're one sick dude, but I think the word you were looking for was castrations. :-)
Thanks Ron. Nice to know that I'm recognized for my (uh?) merits/inclinations.
