    This an old ring. It's marked Mexico and Sterling but that's all I know about it. Can anyone tell me about the stone or these types of rings?

      The stone looks like Malachite. Rings made in Mexico and marked "Mexico Sterling" began in 1950. There certainly is enough patina on this ring to date it to the 1950! :-))))
