This is a collection of six butterflies in a 10 1/2" x 7 3/4" frame. These are butterflies from southeast Asia which along with Brazil is where most of these originate. This one has the specimens held in place by pins so it is a bit older than those being sold now. Looks to be from around 1990 or so.

Very nice specimen, remember maybe 20 year ago, when I picking from house to house on Sud st - Lawrence river in Quebec I pick up a full collection of Insects, including Butterflies from the 1939, from a teacher use to do class on biology, cases and cases of insects all with label and details where he catch it, oh I wish to still have this collections very priceless today, I got for cheap, sell for little profit, time change.

Thank you Alan and thanks for sharing your tale. Vintage collections are my favorites. I have a couple that are older but not as old as 1939. You may have sold it at a decent price as prices for them are low now.
