Not sure how to describe this doll, but have been told it was most likely a doll made as a hobby in the 80's or 90's.
I have been attempting to make tags, so the first picture you see says how tall (17"), and most of the appraisal papers we have list if the mouth is open or closed, so I added that along with what parts are what… are there other descriptors I should be aware of?
Made in a ceramic doll making class by person that signed it , Was popular to make antique reproduction dolls in 80's when true antique dolls were selling very high . The person painted a blank mold sold by ceramic studio and they fired it also you could buy the legs and arms and make the body from a pattern .
Good to know, and very helpful fededback - thank you so much!
Whoever made it did a very good job, I think. It must have been fun to attend a doll making class and come home with a doll as pretty as this!
Yes there are some very talented people in this world. I'm not much of a doll person, but this one is pretty.
Also, her ears have holes for earrings, but I have no clue what earrings she would wear...
