From the days when water was kept in a bucket or perhaps to help ones self from the horse trough. Or perhaps one helping of stew from the pot. Anyway it is from the turn of the century plus or minus a score.
The bowl is 5" deep at the top and 3" deep. The bottom is 3 1/2" wide. It has a 9 1/2" long handle.
Unfortunately graniteware has no maker's mark and there is little information on the net. I will probably have to go old school and find a book.
Thank you very much olebodie.
