    i was surprised to find this at Goodwill yesterday. i never find these plates commemorating anything mexican! i don't know who the other person is on this plate. do you? the guy on the left is Porfirio Diaz who was president of Mexico 1876 to 1911! can you imagine?! he precipitated the mexican revolution by impoverishing the rural agricultural class. in his last election, he imprisoned the other candidate, and then fled to paris, where he died in exile.
