Thank you so much for the information ; however, I was wondering if anyone else can be more elucidating?
Add to the Japanese category, too. I wonder about these as well. I've seen several and I wonder if they are story bowls or something.
The center one is a rice bowl. But they are very small. Child's size? Toys?
There is a facbook.group that is very good. BEWARE -read the about information. Small part here:
"This group is mainly for Japanese ceramics, but we also welcome other forms of Japanese art. It is an educational/informative group. Please note that it is not for selling items or discussing the value of pieces."

Thank you Celiene, I was thinking they might have a story to tell if anyone could interpret them. Not sure they are for children, being very thin and very fragile. However, saying that the eastern children tends to be very delicate with their belongings as most of the parent would instill how expensive things were to own. I know I was one of them. Now all we need is someone to tell us what is written on the items! I think its tea cup rather than rice bowl. its very small and paper thin! I would have asked my mother but she passed away last year at the age of 90. I look upon these items to reminisce.
This is a beautiful set!
Rice Bowl with cover (to keep it warm!)
Tea Cup with cover (to keep it hot!)
And a plate for larger vegetables and meat.
I will see if I can find the four characters and let you know.
This is an excellent site. Yes there is LOTS of info and it takes time to learn as you read through everything. If I find another source, I'll send it your way.
GOOD LUCK!

Chinese, possibly made for the Vietnamese market. Each line is a line of poetry (thus NOT for children). You can probably find the poems attributed great poets of the past. I don't have time to translate all of this. 19th c.
The mark is fine. . . it's a commercial mark.
