So many thanks to CW peps for all the knowledge over the last almost year. It sure makes garage/estate/picking so much fun.
Today I spent $21.45 for the items in the 1st pic. I got, dehydrated, sunburnt and the following:
Fenton silver crest hand painted dish.
3 pc. Bertha Hummel Goebel Studio nativity set, and another one.
Hummel light up church.
Robert Enig Black soap dish with glass insert.
Mother Mary praying planter.
2 cast iron lamps (love, love) with spatter glass globes.
4 ceramic cats, playing baseball. LOL
Retro stainless hand mixer.
2 Franklin Mint cat plates.
3 other cool things not pictured.
Second pic took 3 weeks of beating the streets.
Do I need an intervention yet?
Thanks Nice for the comment and love. :)
The toaster is mine when I take time to eat. LOL
Thanks for the love blunder. :)
Great finds! You sure had a fun time. :)
Thanks for the comments and loves: Thomas and Time. :)
You did well! I have one of those hand mixers (black handle).
Wow, the Hummels alone are worth the money!
Bonnie, I remember my mom having one of these but I can't remember anything but hating to wash it. :) Thanks for the comment and love.
Nuts6, I hear you but OMG, I'm in over my head a bit. I did take a pic of the Fentons for you. Thanks for the love and comment.
Karen, got all the Hummels for $4.00. :) Can't say as much about the vintage Gobel ones recently gifted to a retiring co-worker. LOL
Thanks for the loves also: vetra, fort, Tassie, mike, Nevada, Phil, aura (always) and last but certainly glad to see ya back around, jscott.
You got a whole bunch of cuties!
I have the mixer too (family heirloom, lol!) in yellow :-)
Love your lamps!!!
Lisa, thanks for the comment and love. I posted 2 more pics but they are not that good. These looked fine when I bought them but upon closer inspection one is chipped at the bottom and the other has a crack. They both work but I can't get the shades off with those metal clamps inside. I don't think they are cast iron either. They are metal but I do not know what kind. All the trumpets are in tact but they do seem pliable. Do you recognize them?
Thanks for the nice comment and love Kyra. :)
Thanks for the love also Mike. :)
I love your attitude and it is good to know there are others who LOVE the hunt for that OneGoodFind!
Thank you mareredware for your comment and love. Very sweet! :)
Finally got the shades off after taking them to a lamp shop. Turns out, you just pull straight up. ( She did it then snapped it back down). 0mg.
However, long story short this is what I was told without asking. "these are not antiques, just put a towel over them when you pull them off because they are going to break. I've had people bringing the exact same lamp in here for 30 years asking me to buy them. They could have been made yesterday."
Alrighty then. ;) I got them off and still love them. Yes they are rough but they didn't have any splatter replacements anyway. Keepers!! :0)
