I found this in a big tub of jewelry, almost tossed it as new, but the brass findings and wire are all tarnished like you would expect on something from the 40's-50's. Its also like you could say it doesn't look "unique," as in something a ceramics class student made on a whim, like it could be a brand name piece.
Gold highlighted shells, fish, starfish, with a crab on the underside. Each tile has a wire with pieces of real coral and those old faux pearls you see on old jewelry, attached by wire. Six links. My mother said she it looked like something that she had seen before, so I'm posting it here to see if anyone recognized it. Kind of chunky, but definitely a unique piece I think, just because its old.
Anyway, thanks for looking everyone!
What a rare find and very nice colors !
A lovely vintage piece and well made, probably from a higher-end boutique at some seaside resort.
