I was given this statue by my Uncle after my Grandmother passed away.
I believe she is French and she is holding a basket for collecting grapes. She is 19 1/2 inches tall with the base dug out for firing. There is the number 1162 on the base. I have no information on her and would like to know her origin and age. All I was ever told was that my Grand Mother was not fond of her and that she was given to her by her father. My Great Grandmother passed away wen my Grand Mother was very young so she never new the history behind it.
    Thanks, Hawk04

The number is the mold/model number. Since there is no more information available and I did not find another one like her on the net, I think she will remain a mystery. Could have been made anywhere. No way to know for certain. As far as age, you can only go back to when your grandma was given the figure. How many years before the this figure existed would only be a guess. It's a shame that there is no name etched onto the base anywhere. She's beautiful.
