If the thrift shop staff don't see a silver mark anywhere on the SMOOTH part of the piece of jewelry, then it must not be silver. This ring was SO filthy that they missed the stamps. I saw them....
Yes, stamped "CHINA" along with the three other stamps. This may have been a ring sold through the QVC jewelry site. The blue CZ needs some buffing. For the rest, it's in fine shape. No reaction to my neodymium magnet. I am fully aware of the fake sterling out there. I often see a couple at the local flea markets trying to sell their "sterling silver" jewelry. The silver colored coating is quite thick and overly shiny. It even feels fake to the touch. The silver marks are not very clear due to the coating. I have taken a good look at what they're trying to unload, and it's JUNK.
