This is a very nice find for me, because of the local history around it. There were five of these tie clips in the shop, but this was the only one that was Sterling silver. Nobody bothered to check them, so they all had the same price tag.
Locality of mine site: Hoensbroek ( a stone's throw from me).
The Emma coal mine was started in 1908 near the town of Hoensbroek and began production in 1911. This mine was named after the mother of queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. The mine was closed in 1973.
Emma (1911 - 1973), production 109.032.000 ton.
Thanks for looking/loving, friends!

Thanks, Judy! I was hoping one of the other tie clips were gold, but oh well...
:-))))))
This post is from quite some time ago but I have to correct something because what is showed on this Tie Clip are famous buildings, bridges and sights of Rotterdam.
Among other things, you can see the Willems bridge, Erasmus bridge, Cube Houses, the building called the pencil and the statue De Verwoeste Stad by Ossip Zadkine. This statue is in memory of the bombardment that destroyed the entire center of Rotterdam at the beginning of the Second World War in 1941.
I'm sorry. Small mistake. The bombardment was not in 1941 but of course in May 1940.
