I bought this bracelet few weeks ago on ebay. The stones are amethyst and white spinel according to the seller. It was listed as a vintage item, possibly from the 1950s. The description also stated the bracelet has been tested but he isn't sure what kind of rhodium plated metal is it, maybe silver. Now I'm sure it isn't silver because the bracelet is magnetic. However I like it very much so I'm keeping it. I think the quality is good and sure it catches the light! And I also would like to add there is no mark on the jewellery.
I paid for it £36, and now it seems to me a lot of money for a base metal jewellery. I would appreciate any information about it.
Wow, that was quick!!! thanks aura and Brunswick!!!
That is a lot of money for costume jewelry. I would be surprised if those are real amethysts. In spite of that, it is a really pretty bracelet. Nowadays, you don't see costume bracelets with a safety latch feature. The square latch also says to me that it's an older piece.

Thank you Bonnie. I already checked it, they seem to be real amethysts. Maybe I will take the bracelet to the jeweller to examine it properly.
Thank you everybody for loving it!!!
That would be great! Believe it or not, today I saw a woman wearing what looked to be exactly the same bracelet. I didn't see the clasp side - only the side with the gems. How about them apples.
Very pretty. Bonnie never ceases to amaze me. Adorable gal.:)
I appreciate her knowledge and the fact nothing misses her attention :)
