Seems a bit extravagant for one little saucer-less cup, but it's only money....
I've seen hundreds of coffee cups over the years, but none with this design. Transfer printed. Just 2.5" high and 2.5" diameter. The mark is so faded that I still haven't figured it out. Maybe Villeroy & Boch, Belgium. Maybe P. Ragout Maastricht. Dunno. I have to see if I can find the pattern online somewhere. Who knows, maybe the saucer will turn up somewhere else!
Thanks for looking/loving, friends.

Stranger things have happened! The saucer will probably turn up in....... [;>)
Sweetie tweety cup, Bonnie! :-)
Lovely cup!
kyra - and buuuuuuuug in the bottom just for you, dahling! :-))))
NB - nothing surprises me anymore....
thanks, martika!
You find the cutest things Efesgirl!! Take a peak at K&G Luneville Mesange Pattern...I think your little cup is 1840-1890 France...Not enough of the mark to better date it.....
The stamp is from societé ceramique maastricht. This is a very old design, indeed also made by Sphinx and Boch. The Sphinx design was called Plata, but these didn t have the branches on the back and design on the inside of the cup, only birds...I think your cup dates around 1860-1890, when these bird designs were popular, but you can probably look up the mark (I might have it in one of my books...ceramics were my first love before jewelry) ;-) Nice find, the matching saucer might prove hard to find
